Panasonic opens green customer centre

Dubai, April 26, 2011

Panasonic Marketing Middle East in association with Techserve, part of the Al-Futtaim group opened the region’s first ever eco-friendly customer care centre in Dubai.

The centre is the first green concept customer care centre in the region, and its aim is to promote Panasonic’s eco friendly concept and act as a collection point for all digital products, a statement said.

Panasonic has been leading environmental initiatives that are tailored to support local communities and the Japanese giant is committed to offering a green lifestyle to its customers, as well as pursuing a green business-style in its everyday business activities, it added.

“We are proud to be working with Al-Futtaim’s Techserve, to give our customers the region’s first eco customer care centre, which we hope will inspire a green lifestyle,” said Seiji Koyanagi, managing director of Panasonic Marketing Middle East.

“Panasonic is strongly committed to conserving the environment. As a global leader in the electronics industry, it is our duty to ensure a sustainable future. This facility will also serve to encourage Panasonic employees and our customers to lead conservation efforts in cooperation with the local communities,” added Koyanagi.

The customer care centre will use eco friendly products for its furniture and interiors. Used bottles will be used to construct part of the walls, which will also be cladded with bleached natural coir.

The eco customer care centre will be completely paperless, and will use Panasonic’s eco friendly products like eco-navi air conditioners and solar powered energy saving LED lamps.

“At Al-Futtaim we are constantly looking at ways to enhance customer service. Panasonic’s first eco customer care centre is a fantastic initiative, and we are proud to be associated with Panasonic in developing an eco culture amongst our customers and employees,” said Vishesh L Bhatia, president, New Strategic Growth Group, Al-Futtaim Group.

“The establishment of the eco customer care center in UAE adds a new dimension to our customer-centric initiatives and will set the tone for expanding such facility in different part of this region in the near future,” Koyanagi concluded. – TradeArabia News Service
