Sony, d1g to provide content for Xperia

Sony Mobile Communications Mena has entered into an agreement with d1g.com, the region’s leading platform for social networks, to provide users with seamless access to rich multimedia content through the latest line of Sony Xperia smartphones.

Under the agreement, all NXT series, next generation smartphones from SonyXperia for the Middle East region will be pre-loaded with the d1g.com mobile application, allowing users to directly access, share and interact with d1g’s multimedia content database.

It also allows Xperia users to enjoy unprecedented access to Arabic online content, a statement from Sony said. 

The application provides users with quick and seamless access to a broad range of entertaining videos, images, and online content directly from their devices. Users will also be able to tag and share content through popular social networks such as Facebook and Twitter.

Spyridon Gousetis, director of marketing, Middle East and Africa, Sony Mobile Communications, said: “We are committed to offering premium and relevant content to our users in the Middle East. Our agreement with d1g.com is another key step towards providing our region-wide customers with localised content at their fingertips.”

Alaa Fada, president, d1g.com, said: “This agreement comes as part of our commitment to reaching and providing users with seamless access to some of the region’s richest content.”

The application will allow users to access a multitude of specialised channels targeting women, entertainment lovers and sports enthusiasts. It will also be available on Play Store (formerly known as Android Marketplace) for existing users and handsets. – TradeArabia News Service
