Etisalat has launched a dedicated WiFi solution for the hospitality industry in the UAE.

The solution called Etisalat Hospots for Hotels  will be offered to the leading hotels in the UAE to benefit guests and visitors alike who come on business or leisure.

The rapid growth in business and busy schedules of business executives has led to most hotels offering broadband access in their properties. Several hotels today in the UAE offer broadband WiFi access free to guests.

In terms of Internet access , the industry requires Internet access in the room and WiFi connectivity in the public areas of the hotel. With this in mind, Etisalat is  in the process of launching the Hzone solution which will be integrated with the hotel's Property Management System. This will for the first time enable hotels to include charges for Internet access in the room bill at the time of checkout. Guests now do not have to carry prepaid cards for Internet access during their stay thanks to this new solution.

As part of the service, Etisalat's responsibility will be to provide Internet connectivity, wireless hotspot network in the public area of the hotel and integration (including gateway) with the property management system.

According to Abdulla Hashim, VP, marketing, enterprise solutions, Etisalat , “The launch of the Etisalat Hotspots for Hotels will be a great asset for hotels and will add value to the hospitality experience of their guests.
