Emirates stops daily Houston flights
Dubai, September 16, 2008
As a result of the trail of destruction caused by Hurricane Ike in Houston, Emirates has temporarily suspended daily direct flights to the city, a report said.
The airline has advised passengers that the next flight will only be on September 18, a spokesperson told the Gulf News.
Emirates had cancelled flights to the oil centre since September 12 after the hurricane badly affected operations at the George Bush International Airport.
On the other hand, Delta's services to Atlanta from Dubai remained unaffected.
