Chaos at Bahrain airport

Manama, October 10, 2010

Incoming passengers at Bahrain International Airport suffered lengthy delays after a technical glitch at the immigration counters.

Sources said numerous travellers were caught up in long queues due to a fault in the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) system.

An airport official confirmed passengers had to wait as the fingerprinting and data registration process was not operating at full speed. An LMRA official declined to comment.-TradeArabia News Service
