Samawy to unveil latest sports boat at show

UAE-based Samawy Marine will unveil its newest sports boat Samawy 44 at the Dubai International Boat Show, set to be held from March 13 to 17, 2012 at the Dubai International Marine Club – Mina Seyahi.

Featuring an open console and most suitable for fishing, diving and day trips, Samawy 44 is expected to be a top attraction among thousands of high-end consumers and water-sports enthusiasts at the show, a statement from the company said.

The boat which has been manufactured and supervised by Samawy Marine’s team; combines its extensive experience with latest boat building technology.

A demonstration of the boat’s special features and functionalities will be conducted during the event where a sea trial opportunity can be booked in advance, the statement said.

Sultan Bin Sheikh Mejren, founder and chairman of Samawy Marine Boat Manufacturing Company, said: “The Samawy 44 represents Emirati ingenuity and world-class craftsmanship in boatbuilding. The Samawy 44 can achieve a top-speed of 42 knot. It measures 14.4 m in length and its beam is 3.9 m wide. It also features three 350hp outboard max engines or 370 hp internal combustion engines and has a fuel capacity of 1,800 l.

Samawy Marine has been recognised for building boats that are convenient to use and feature an original, sturdy and sleek design, making it ideal for multiple uses such as rescue operations, patrolling, military operations, special tactic use, special force use, fishing and scuba diving, pleasure as well as family trips.

The annual Dubai International Boat Show, which is celebrating its 20th year, will draw the industry’s top players to the Middle East, including thousands of elite customers and water-sports enthusiasts.
