New Holiday Inn property opens in Thailand

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has opened a new Holiday Inn Express property, the 184-room hotel, Bangkok Sathorn, in the bustling Thai capital.

Owned by leading Thai conglomerate TCC Hotels Group, the Bangkok Sathorn is the brand’s third property in the country and the second in the capital.

Just 30 minutes from Suvarnabhumi Airport and with a central location in the Sathorn business district, Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Sathorn is in the heart of the city and close to all the major international corporate offices, as well as the vibrant Silom area, which is famous for its shopping, dining and entertainment options.

"Opening our second Holiday Inn Express property in the centre of Thailand’s capital offers both business and leisure guests an amazing opportunity to stay in an ideal location whether visiting the city for work or to absorb the diverse and colourful culture, electric nightlife and famous cuisine," said Clarence Tan, the chief operating officer South East Asia and Resorts, at IHG.

TCC Hotels Group, it will be the first Holiday Inn Express hotel to be owned by the group, who also owns InterContinental, Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn hotels under IHG’s brand portfolio.

Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Sathorn has quick access to commuter links with the Chong Non Sri BTS skytrain stop only two minutes away, which will take travellers directly to destinations such as Siam Paragon, one of Asia’s largest shopping complexes.

From the hotel, guests can take a leisurely walk to the majestic Chao Phraya River with its exciting markets and temples including The Emerald Buddha Temple and museum in a matter of minutes.
