Sheraton Doha...restored to its former glory.

Sheraton Doha renovation completed in record time

DOHA, December 4, 2014

Katara Hospitality, the owner of Sheraton Doha Resort and Convention Hotel, has completed a major renovation of the Doha Sheraton in Qatar in a record time of seven months.

The work included all electro-mechanical works and internal decoration for the entire hotel, including all the rooms, elevators, halls, gardens and infrastructure in preparation for hosting the 35th session of the Supreme Council of GCC Leaders, due to be held in Doha on December 9 and 10.

A staff of 16,000, including qualified engineering and technical personnel, participated in accomplishing the project within this record time.

Built in 1982, The Sheraton Doha Resort was the first five-star resort in the city, and was previously called the "Gulf Pyramid" because of its pyramid-shape and its location on the Arabian Gulf.

The hotel has been restored to its original 1982 glory, to be a new gigantic architectural building glorifying the past and meeting all the requirements of the most luxurious hospitality places and conferences. – TradeArabia News Service
