Kuwait city engulfed in thick fog

Bad weather delays six flights, diverts 21 at Kuwait Airport

KUWAIT, January 27, 2015

Operations at the Kuwait International Airport came to a standstill due to poor horizontal vision when thick fog engulfed the country, causing six flights to be delayed at the airport while 21 others were diverted to neighbouring airports, a report in WAM said.

Saleh Al Fadagi, head of operations at the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Kuwait, said in a statement that the fog forced a delay in flights while incoming flights had to be diverted, adding that the air traffic returned to normal at 07:45 am.
