Burgu Arjaan & Tango Arjaan by Rotana

Rotana makes Turkish debut with 2 properties

DUBAI, September 28, 2015

Rotana, a leading hotel management company, with presence in the Middle East, Africa, South Asia and Eastern Europe, has announced the opening of two hotel apartments in Istanbul, marking its first properties in Turkey.

Located majestically on Turkey’s longest coastal lane, in the heart of Maltepe on the Asian side of Istanbul, the “Burgu Arjaan by Rotana” and “Tango Arjaan by Rotana” added a combined inventory of 319 keys to Rotana’s existing 13,679 rooms.

The new hotel apartments operated by Rotana for Dap-Yapi, one of Turkey’s leading business groups, are designed to offer a privileged city life to families and guests looking to enjoy an extended stay in Istanbul. The properties are located adjacent to the metro line, and in close proximity to Sabiha Gökçen International Airport, Bagdat Street as well as key business and leisure districts.

Omer Kaddouri, president & CEO of Rotana, said: “We are very proud to have opened our first properties in Turkey, which we see as representing an important milestone in our continued growth and global expansion. We look forward to building on this success and further expanding our footprint in Turkey in the months and years to come.”

“Turkey is a market you cannot afford not to be present in. With 37 million international tourists passing through the country annually, Turkey is positioned among the world’s most visited countries. The city of Istanbul was ranked the No. 1 travel destination in the world by TripAdvisor in 2014, and recent years has seen this bustling tourist hub also emerge as a leading destination for meetings and conferences, opening new doors for the hospitality industry.

“Rotana is keen to capitalize on the unique business opportunities offered by Turkey’s vibrant tourism sector and we look forward to bringing our expertise, experience and track record of success to serve the needs of our business and leisure guests,” he added.

The “Burgu Arjaan by Rotana” is comprised of two connected towers – Burgu 1 and Burgu 2 – which share a host of business and recreational facilities such as lobby, café, business centre, restaurant, health club, indoor pool and outdoor pool and landscaped areas, as well as four meeting rooms and a ballroom.

“Burgu Arjaan by Rotana” has a total of 163 rooms whereas the “Tango Arjaan by Rotana” has a room count of 156.

Keen to expand its presence in Turkey, Rotana has signed agreements for two new properties with Dap-Yapi – the “Dalga Residences” and “Vazo Residences”, both located in Cevizli. The luxury residences will add a further 330 keys to Rotana’s existing inventory, taking its Turkey portfolio to 4 properties.

“Dalga Residences” is scheduled to open by the end of 2015 while “Vazo Residences” is set to open for business in the first quarter of 2016. – TradeArabia News Service
