As Centara Hotels & Resorts prepares to open the Centara Grand West Bay Hotel Doha in Qatar, the group has named James Robert Wilson as the property's general manager.

Wilson will be overseeing the opening of this new property, which is part of the greater expansion plans for the Middle East.

With many years of experience in the hotel industry and having worked for many hotels and resorts all over the world including in Scotland, Thailand, Dubai and Abu Dhabi, Wilson brings a wealth of knowledge that will support the successful opening of Centara Grand West Bay Hotel Doha.

He has worked as general manager of the Pathumwan Princess Hotel Bangkok, Dusit Thani Hotel Bangkok, Dusit Thani Hotel Dubai, UAE and as vice president operations of Dusit International and Dusit Princess Hotels. Before joining Centara, Wilson was the general manager at Millennium Corniche Hotel Abu Dhabi, UAE.
