Wyndham Hotel Group has appointed Rogier M Hurkmans as cluster general manager for two leading hotels in the UAE.

Hurkmans will oversee TRYP by Wyndham located in Barsha Heights and the recently opened hotel, Wyndham Dubai Marina.

Hurkmans joined the Wyndham Hotel Group in the Middle East a year ago as opening general manager of Wyndham Dubai Marina, the 32-storey, 486-room, four-star property flagged under the globally recognised Wyndham Hotels and Resorts brand.

In his new role, Hurkmans will be responsible for the opening of TRYP by Wyndham property located in Barsha Heights, due to open in the first half of 2017, as well as continuing to oversee operations at Wyndham Dubai Marina.

With more than two decades of experience in the hospitality industry, Hurkmans brings a wealth of expertise and experience with reputed hotel chains including InterContinental, Hilton, Steigenberger, Swissôtel and Bilderberg working on a number of hotel openings, renovations, and rebranding projects.

The TRYP by Wyndham in Barsha Heights boasts 688 hotel rooms offering guests single, double and suite accommodation. The property features include the TRYP Plaza Central which is a common area that encourages guests to meet, eat, drink, work recluse, relax, socialise, observe and enjoy TRYP’s city centric vibe. Other facilities include a swimming pool, fitness centre, and meeting space.

TRYP by Wyndham in Barsha Heights and Wyndham Dubai Marina are managed by Wyndham Hotel Group and owned by The First Group. - TradeArabia News Service
