Anantara The Palm Dubai enters Guinness World Record

DUBAI, October 23, 2016

Anantara the Palm Dubai Resort has entered the Guinness Book of World Records for the 'Largest Mango Sticky Rice' dish, which weighed in at 2,831 kg.

Cooked by 10 chefs, the recipe for record-breaking success included 1,000 kg of rice, 500 litres of coconut milk, 500 litres of coconut cream, 50 kgs of sugar, 300 kg of mango and 3 litres of oil - all of which was sourced from local suppliers.

"I am very pleased and proud of Anantara the Palm Dubai Resort team. I would like to dedicate this record to the whole team, whose constant hard work and dedication have made this possible. We believe in this motto: Together We Can, and we are working towards more achievements and success,” said general manager Jean-Francois Laurent.

Once the new record was confirmed, guests and attendees were able to taste it. The dish was then taken to be redistributed to those in need in labour camps, Shapoorji Pallonji Mideast and Transgaurd, serving more than 2,500 labourers. - TradeArabia News Service
