The Sun Siyam Iru Fushi, a luxury resort in the Maldives, has two prestigious awards at the recent World Luxury Hotel Awards.

The awards  --  ‘Global Winner - Luxury Beach Resort’ and ‘Regional Winner - Luxury Spa Hotel’ – were presented at a gala ceremony at the St Regis Hotel in Doha, Qatar.

Among more than 1,000 hotels nominated in 145 countries, the Iru Fushi won the votes of international tour operators, travel agents and hotel guests to gain the top prizes.

At the gala ceremony held at the St Regis Hotel in Doha, Evgenia Boyankova, group director business development of Sun Siyam Resorts, said:  "If it weren't for the sheer passion of my colleagues to delight each and every one of our guests, we wouldn't have gone this far.
