Kempinski Hotel Mall of Emirates appoints new GM

DUBAI, February 6, 2017

Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates, a luxury five-star property in Dubai, UAE, has welcomed Slim Zaiane to his nrew role as general manager.

Zaine brings 15 years of experience in luxury hospitality in Europe, having worked with international chains including Hilton and Sofitel. He was previously hotel manager at Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates, having first joined the property in this role in 2014.

Commenting on his appointment, Zaiane said: “I’m delighted to embark on my first general manager position at Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates, a hotel I have helped lead throughout its $100 million renovation over the past two years.

“I’m excited to support the excellent team at Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates as we focus on offering the exemplary, personalised service for which Kempinski is renowned.

Zaiane began his career as the front office manager at Red Carnations Hotels in London, before moving to Hilton London Heathrow to take up the position of director of Front Office for the hotel. Since then, his career has spanned several key European cities, including Geneva in Switzerland.

In 2007, Zaiane completed the Hilton Shine ‘4D’ programme, which is the company’s top talent development progamme. He stayed in the Hilton family until 2013, working as the rooms division director and  revenue manager at Hilton Newcastle Gateshead and then as director of F&B at Hilton London Metropole.

In February 2013, Zaiane moved to Dubai to work at Al Bustan Rotana Dubai as the property’s executive manager, reporting to the area general manager.

Originally from the UK, Zaiane graduated with a BA honours degree in Hotel Management from Glion Hotel School in Switzerland and completed his Masters at Oxford Brookes University. He is fluent in Arabic, English and French. - TradeArabia News Service
