Hilton plans new hotel in Cairo Business Park

CAIRO, April 2, 2017

Hospitality giant Hilton Worldwide has signed a cooperation agreement with Misr Italia Properties, a diversified real estate developer in Egypt, for a new Hilton Garden Inn at Cairo Business Park, said a report.

The new hotel would offer Cairo Business Park customers and visitors a new sense of luxury, with services including a gym and fitness centre, a garden lounge, a swimming pool, and a modern fine dining restaurant, Daily News Egypt reported Mohamed Hany El Assa, co-CEO of Misr Italia Properties, as saying.

According to Carlos Khneisser, vice president of development in the Mena for Hilton, said that the expanded Suez Canal and New Cairo are both attracting significant investments, and it is the right time for the company to revitalise its Egyptian portfolio with new projects in these emerging locations.

Misr Italia Properties previously signed a contract with Hilton to manage and operate a five-star hotel in Kai Ain Sokhna, which spans an area of 147,000 square metres with a beach extending 1,200 metres. The project offers luxurious villas and chalets.
