Top comedians Mo and Maz set to perform in Bahrain

MANAMA, Bahrain, February 5, 2023

Internationally renowned comedians Mo Amer and Maz Jobrani are set to take the stage at Al Dana Amphitheatre, a leading live entertainment destination in Bahrain on March 10 for a highly anticipated live performance.

Mohammed "Mo" Amer is a Palestinian-American stand-up comedian, actor, writer, and producer from Houston, Texas. He can currently be seen on the award-winning comedy Mo streaming on Netflix.  The show won a 2023 Gotham Award for “Breakthrough Series “and was named one of AFI ‘s (American Film Institute) top 10 shows of the year. Mo was also nominated for “Best Actor” at the Independent Spirit Award for the series that has rare 100% from critics on Rotten Tomatoes.

He can also be seen opposite Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in DC’s Black Adam and in the Golden Globe winning show Ramy. In 2022 he was named GQ ‘Man of the Year’ in the UAE. His two stand -up specials Mo Amer: The Vagabond and Mo Amer; Mohmand in Texas can also be seen on Netflix. Mo has performed in over 27 countries across 5 continents.

Maz Jobrani is a celebrated Iranian American comedian, actor, author, and podcast host, who began his career as a founding member of the Axis of Evil comedy tour. His most recent stand-up comedy special “Pandemic Warrior” is available on OSN and PeacockTV, alongside his other specials: Netflix’s “Immigrant”, “Showtime: Brown and Friendly”, “I Come in Peace”, and “I’m Not a Terrorist, but I’ve Played One on TV.” Jobrani has made several appearances in popular shows such as Grey’s Anatomy and Curb Your Enthusiasm. He has also been a guest on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert and the Late Late Show with James Cordon.

Maz has also given two Ted Talks, with one in Doha, which has over 20 million views on YouTube. In the Spring of 2016 Maz performed at the White House where he had the privilege of introducing Michelle Obama. He is a regular panelist on NPR’s WAIT WAIT DONT TELL ME and His LA Times Best Selling Book, I’M NOT A TERRORIST BUT I’VE PLAYED ONE ON TV, was published by Simon & Schuster.
