Club Hawaii @ Bahrain Surf Park, a first-of-its-kind surf and leisure destination at Bilaj Al Jazayer development in Bahrain has achieved a major construction milestone with the completion of lagoon filling ahead of its opening this year. Once operational, the surf park will generate up to 1,000 waves per hour.
Bahrain Real Estate Investment Company (Edamah) is set to begin beach enhancement works at Bilaj Al Jazayer as part of the project's first phase. Spanning over 80,000 sq m, Phase I will deliver a lifestyle-led beachfront, including enhancing the shoreline with shaded walkways, sports and outdoor fitness areas.
Bahrain's Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) has announced the launch of an international tender for the development of Bilaj Al Jazayer Solar IPP with a planned capacity of up to 100 MWac. The key solar farm is set for commercial operations in September next year.
