The World Health Organization (WHO) has announced that efforts are advancing to develop the world's first vaccine against the Bundibugyo species of Ebola, as the largest recorded outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) continues to drive up cases and deaths.
The Ministry of Health in the Democratic Republic of Congo announced on Saturday that the number of confirmed Ebola cases in the country had risen to 710, while 139 deaths have been recorded.
More than ten days into the conflict, health systems across Middle East are under strain as injuries and displacement rise, attacks on health care continue, according to WHO.
