Fifty Bahraini graduate engineers will get a unique opportunity to be trained by experts in the Japanese firm of Yokogawa as systems engineers.

The BD340,000 ($901,727) training deal signed between Tamkeen and Yokogawa is a received initiative under Tamkeen’s Human Capital Development (HCD) programme. The whole programme is spread over five years and each batch will spend an intensive two years working through a three-phase study schedule that will combine three months of off-the-job training, nine months of on-the-job training and a year of Stage Training.

Once the two year course is completed, successful  trainees can expect to receive attractive offers for jobs with Yokogawa.

“We believe that Bahrain has one of the best technical engineering education systems in the region and that Bahraini engineering graduates must leverage this advantage with playing a key role in the fast-evolving technological world,” said Tamkeen chief executive Abdulellah Al Qassimi.

“Yokogawa is producing unique and innovative industrial automation and process control systems and products and this initiative will help us work closely with promising Bahraini engineering graduates who  could help us widen the global reach of our technology,” said Yusuke Sekiguchi, SVP – Corporate Finance and Operations.

The programme is open to Bahraini nationals who are graduate engineers from Instrumentations & Process Control, Chemical, Electronics, Electrical or Process Automation engineering.-TradeArabia News Service
