Manama, September 26, 2012

Gulf Aviation Academy (GAA), a wholly owned subsidiary of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company, has signed an agreement with Emirates Airlines to deliver aviation training services and facilities for Emirates’ flight crew.

The training is conducted at the GAA facility in Muharraq, and the Emirates Airlines pilots have already started their training on GAA’s latest Airbus A330 full flight simulator (FFS) as part of their ongoing training requirements, a statement from the academy said.

Mahmood AlBalooshi, chief executive of GAA, said: “We are very pleased to have been selected to work in partnership with the Emirates Airlines, one of the leading airlines in the world to deliver our aviation training solutions.”

“With our state-of-the-art training facilities and top-quality training solutions, we have been able to fulfil our commitment of providing aviation training excellence to our clients in the Mena region,” he said.

“We look forward to working closely with Emirates Airlines to provide quality training for their crew to support Emirates enormous growth plans. We believe our training agreement will be a platform for further cooperation between the two companies.”
GAA, Bahrain’s first aviation training academy, and one of the few internationally certified aviation training centers in the region, is a UK CAA TRTO and also has Bahrain CAA / DGCA / KDGCA / QCAA / GACA training approvals and offers a wide range of high-quality aviation training solutions for the industry in the Middle East and North Africa region.

The academy is also an IATA regional training partner (RTP) and an Authorised Training Center (ATC). Additionally, GAA was recently recognised as a Top ten Middle East International Air Transport Association (IATA) Authorised Training Center (ATC) for 2012, in recognition of GAA’s contribution in developing human capital by reaching out to the next generation of leaders in the air transport industry in the Mena region. – TradeArabia News Service
