HRH the Premier

Bahrain Premier praises newspaper role

Manama, September 10, 2012

Bahrain’s HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa paid tribute to our sister paper Akhbar Al Khaleej for its pioneering role in supporting national causes and its bold journalistic methods.

He said that the paper reflects truly the worries of the nation and citizens, and it has become an honest tongue speaking out in their name and conveying their needs and aspirations.

He wished the newspaper, its leadership and employees continued success in the service of national issues.

The Prime Minister made his remarks following an open letter written by Akhbar Al Khaleej's editor-in-chief Anwar Abdulrahman, on Saturday. The Premier hailed the patriotism contained in this article, which reflected an intellect that always sought a security-centred development model for the homeland.

His Royal Highness stressed that the article accurately shares national interests and keenness to preserve developments, as well as guaranteeing that this is embraced within a secure and stable environment.

A deviant sabotage ideology will never find an echo in the community that has become a model example of co-existence, cohesion and coherence. It adopts honourable stances which have always formed the first line of defence, the Premier emphasised.

"We will not allow the forces of aggravation and demagoguery to compromise this country's capabilities, the interests of traders and the livelihoods of citizens.

"We will not tolerate it."

Government bodies have been instructed to take all measures in preparation for the application of the law against abusers and violators of regulations, he vowed. – TradeArabia News Service
