Qatar's state purchasing agency is tendering to buy 30,000 tonnes of feed barley, European traders said on Friday.
The shipment date was unknown, they said. Bidding had already closed and prices were under consideration.
Grain tenders from Middle East Gulf states are comparatively rare but have started to appear recently as global grain supplies tightened.
A mill Abu Dhabi tendered for wheat in April and Oman said it plans a tender for 120,000 tonnes of wheat in July.-Reuters
