BNP Paribas names Kuwait head
Kuwait

BNP Paribas has announced the appointment of Alain Jean-Marie Lamarlère as the country head for Kuwait.

The appointment is part of its strategic plan to strengthen the bank’s presence in Kuwait and continue to expand its client franchise in this important market, said a top official.

Lamarlère joined BNP Paribas in 1984 and has held various senior positions in the bank, most recently as deputy managing director of BNP Paribas in Egypt.

In Kuwait, he will be heading a team of 40 employees and will actively participate in BNP Paribas’ steady growth in the country. His appointment is expected to provide growth continuity for BNP Paribas in Kuwait in an environment favorable to further development.

Commenting on the appointment, BNP Paribas GCC regional director Jean-Christophe Durand said Lamarlère possesses the highest professional qualities and an unparalleled banking experience of the BNP Paribas Group.

"I am positive that his arrival will provide a strong boost to our business in Kuwait and ensure achievement of our business plan objectives in this growing market,” he added.-TradeArabia News Service
