Banking major Islamic Development Bank (IDB) has approved $178.2 million financing for development projects aimed at Muslim communities around the world, a report said.

The projects included funding a highway project in Senegal and others in Pakistan and Burkina Faso, according to a Gulf News report.

There were technical assistant grants from Waqf Fund (Islamic Endowment) for three Islamic communities in India, UK and USA as one grant for the Islamic Financial Services Board in Malaysia.
