Sharaf Foundations, a leading ground engineering company in the region, has won a contract for enabling and piling works on The Creek Towers and Plaza at Dubai Maritime City, the world’s first purpose-built maritime city.
Under the contract, the company’s work on the project has been divided into five major areas - shoring, piling, pile load testing, excavation and dewatering, over a total area of 69,371 sqm. The project is expected to be completed in third quarter of 2009.
Sharaf Foundations has an impressive track record in handling high-profile projects all over the region, said a company official.
In addition, two concrete batching plants will be set up each capable of delivering over 120 cubic metres of concrete per hour - achieving the daily production target of 3,000 cubic metres.
The company will also strive to achieve Gold certificate for environmental compliance in accordance with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating.
