Jotun Paints, a leading producer of paints and coatings, has launched its 1,000th Multicolour Centre (MC) in the Middle East.
Located in Al Qusais, Dubai, the new centre is part of the paint manufacturer’s ambitious plan to establish a total of 1,000 MCs in the region before the end of 2008.
The company is also looking at doubling the number of Jotun MC’s in four years, with aims of increasing its retail market share, which currently stands at 40 per cent of the total regional market.
“As we mark this year with this tremendous milestone, our goal is to continue creating bigger successes not only in terms of sales and production capacity but by consistently maintaining our service levels,” said Ashish Vasudev, trade manager - Mena region, Jotun UAE.
With the Middle East construction market booming, in addition to the fact that customers in the region are becoming more conscious of home styling and colour schemes, the paint industry will see exponential growth in the coming years, he stated.
