Property TV goes on air
Dubai

Property TV, the region’s first international 24x7 property channel with a footprint covering the Middle East, the Indian Subcontinent, South East Asia, Australia, Europe, Russia and Africa, has started broadcasting to the Gulf.

The new channel was launched at a glittering event at Shangri-La Hotel in Dubai on Sunday.

Dubai was selected as the first launch spot for the world-class free-to-air ‘infotainment’ channel in view of the Gulf region’s undisputed position as one of the world’s hottest property destinations, said channel promoters, India Nivesh TV Networks Private Limited, Singapore.

“This region lacked a property channel with an international reach. As the GCC, Singapore and the Indian Subcontinent have emerged as the preferred property investment destinations, we have created a dedicated channel that will air property-related programs under the infotainment format,” said Rajesh Nuwal, managing director, India Nivesh TV Network, Singapore and India Nivesh Ltd, India.

'Investment in property has become the most favoured type of investment today, and there is a need for a one-stop shop channel for investors and property developers and marketers,' he pointed out.

'The goal of Property TV is to become the definitive marketplace for buyers, while presenting developers and estate agents with an exciting new platform to market their properties. Property TV will become the ideal channel for brand owners to target customers through spot advertising, sponsorship, brand promotion or advertorial programming,” Nuwal noted.

Property TV has also set up a production and editorial team in Dubai to do Gulf-specific programming. Broadcasting on the premium satellite network APSTAR 2R, Property TV will be available to over 5 million subscribed households through cable & satellite and direct-to-home players across the region and millions more across Europe and other parts of the globe.

The program mix will include a one-hour ‘Gulf Live’ show highlighting the most exciting property projects in the region.

Additionally, the WaterFront program will focus on waterside properties of Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Qatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia and other parts of the region and the world.

“Property TV is not just another real estate channel. Its programming has been devised after several months of research by a team of real estate experts and TV journalists,” said Prince Goyal, director and CEO, Property TV.

“After the Gulf launch, we will be available in India through all major multi system operators (MSOs), thus offering Gulf property developers an access to the Indian market. In Singapore, we will be available through Starhub, the sole cable operator, as well as on Singtel’s Internet Protocol television (IPTV) and Astro DTH in Malaysia.”

“We have a specialised team based in Dubai, constantly working to introduce innovative programs for our viewers and partners,” said Rebecca Rifai, presenter and producer, a veteran in TV programming in Australia.

“For us, the focus is on ‘infotainment’, as we did not want to create a drab property channel just churning out promotional material of property developments. Property TV will be fun to watch, besides opening the window to global investments in real estate, with the help of experts and insightful analysis,” she added.-TradeArabia News Service
