HRH Prince Salman tours the centre with Alabbar.

Marassi Al Bahrain mixed-use project launched

MANAMA, January 14, 2016

UAE-based private real estate investment and development company, Eagle Hills, in partnership with Diyar Al Muharraq, today officially inaugurated Marassi Al Bahrain and its sales centre at the site of the upcoming mixed-use megaproject.

The event took place in the presence of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister of Bahrain.

The first residential launch of around 250 beachfront apartments within Marassi Residences will be held at the sales centre’s premises at 10 am on January 16 on a first-come, first-served basis.

The sales centre, located directly on the beach, has been designed to reflect the values of Marassi Al Bahrain, creating an atmosphere of a comfortable home, with interiors reflecting sophistication and elegance. It will include an interactive exhibition area with a high-tech touchscreen projection of the masterplan, indoor and outdoor children’s play areas, a café, meeting rooms, and a VIP guest room.

The 300-m beach will host food trucks and a host of fun activities in a friendly family atmosphere, starting end of January. Activities for children include handicrafts, workshops and roaming performances. For adults, there will be various sports activities, including fitness classes.

This immersive experience will allow customers and visitors to enjoy a taste of beachfront living firsthand, and provide a sneak-peek of the megaproject’s unique mix of residential community, hospitality, commercial and recreational facilities.

Mohammed Alabbar, board member of Eagle Hills, and the visionary behind iconic megaprojects such as Downtown Dubai, the 500-acre flagship development crowned by Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, commented on the significance of Marassi Al Bahrain to the kingdom’s economy: “The Government of Bahrain has recognised the need to continually invest in infrastructure to develop the country in line with Vision 2030, and recognises the value of public-private partnerships and international investment.

"It has laid out clear goals to diversify and sustain the economy to achieve its Vision 2030, highlighting the need for job creation and local as well as international investment. A masterplanned real estate development such as Marassi Al Bahrain can provide this solid platform. It will create sustained revenue streams for investors and commercial partners, become a key tourism destination, create thousands of new jobs, and drive inward investments to the country,” he said.

Dr Maher Al Shaer, CEO of Diyar Al Muharraq and managing director of Marassi Al Bahrain, said: “Both the sales centre and the beach activities are designed to capture a small part of the unique beach lifestyle of the project. We want customers and visitors to enjoy the facilities as they become part of its journey towards completion. Judging by the interest we have received through our participation at various property shows in the region, we expect Marassi Residences and our future developments to attract a high level of demand both locally and internationally.”

Early development work on Marassi Residences has recently begun, with construction work to be completed by the third quarter of 2018. Featuring contemporary modern exteriors, the building standards of Marassi Residences are comparable to those found in major cities around the world, the statement said - TradeArabia New Service
