MUSCAT, August 22, 2016

Oman's $600-million mixed-used develpment, Saraya Bandar Jissah, is set to house its first residents early next year.

Being developed by Omran, the tourism development and investment arm of Oman, the project spans 2.2-sq-km and will offer residential units, recreational facilities and two beachfront luxury hotels - a resort hotel and a boutique hotel.

Maitha Saif Al Mahrouqi, undersecretary of the Ministry of Tourism, conducted a visit to the Saraya Bandar Jissah project, accompanied by experts from the ministry. She toured the entire project to review the latest developments, met with the project management team and discussed the launch of the first phase.

The first phase of the project includes 224 properties in three separate residential zones, and two five-star hotels (to be run by The Jumeirah Group).

The first hotel will have 206 guest rooms as well as conference hall overviewing the beachfront, along with VIP chalet and a dive centre.

The second hotel will house 112 chalets offering three authentic experiences. The lower levels will highlight the unique marine experience of the sultanate, while the second level will highlight the agricultural oasis that the sultanate is famed for. The top level will highlight the mountainous landscape and culture, thus blending all the lifestyles of the sultanate.

The project will also have three housing sections and 33 villas located in the Namir Island which is the middle island. Each villa hosts its own private swimming pool. The three-bedroom villas will be built on 427 sq m of space while four-bedroom villas will be built on 498 sq m of space.

The second residential section will host 169 villas and apartments -  two-bedroom apartments of 200 sq m and three-bedroom apartments of 351-sq-m overviewing the gardens and the ocean.

The third housing section will host 22 villas with panoramic views of the ocean and the mountains. Each housing unit hosts a spacious 750-sq-m of prime real estate. - TradeArabia News Service
