Oman approves $250m construction tenders

Oman's Tender Board has approved contracts worth RO96.4 million ($250 million) for construction and infrastructure-related works, said a report.

The projects included establishment of a mixed-use investment building that contains offices, a hotel, residential and commercial units and their annexes at Ghala Heights in the Governorate of Muscat for the Civil Service Employees Pension Fund at a cost of RO54.6 million besides construction of dams in Wadi Addai in the Governorate of Muscat at RO36 million, reported the Oman News Agency (ONA).

The list also includes additional works for the RO5.02-million Al Roudha dual-carriageway project in the Governorate of Al Buraimi and the internal tender for the provision of consultancy services for the design and construction of Saih Qatnah road in Al Jabal Al Akhdhar in the Governorate of A'Dakhiliyah at RO79,400, the report stated.

The Tenders Board also approved an internal tender for the provision of consultancy services for design and supervision of an Innovation Complex in Muscat at RO47,500; additional works on the tender for the design and supervision for establishing the Oman Cultural Complex at RO350,000 besides a tender for the provision of consultancy services for constructing an asphalt road in the Governorate of Musandam at RO142,094.
