IED offers programmes for government units
Abu Dhabi, March 20, 2010
The Institute for Executive Development (IED), a member of the Abu Dhabi University Knowledge Group, is providing a range of specific professional management services and leadership programmes tailor-made for UAE government organisations.
The IED said it will join hands with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), one of its international partners, to launch these programmes, .
IED is currently giving seven customised modules of CMI Diploma in First Line Management to a government organisation based in Abu Dhabi.
The CMI Diploma in First Line Management, designed for supervisors and first line managers who wish to build on and develop their existing management skills and knowledge, has been tailored to fit the requirements of CNIA.
The diploma is a Level 3 on the UK’s S/NVQs accreditation system and provides opportunities for progression to other qualifications at the same or higher levels.
'We at IED develop plans, which include structured frameworks, programmes, events, and training courses that are tailored to the specific needs of corporate individuals and private and government organisations in the UAE.'
'We extensively identify the requirements of different sectors and the programmes we offer are supported by our partners from leading international business schools and internationally recognised qualification bodies,' said Rory Hendricks, director of IED.
“CMI is one of the world’s largest professional bodies for practicing managers and the Level 3 qualifications in First Line Management offer a highly flexible approach that allows the freedom and choice to select from the broad range of units available. This gives our clients to custom-fit the size and elements of the qualifications to suit their specific needs,” he added.
The last module of the CMI Diploma in First Line Management includes final unit and real time learning through on-the-ground meetings and field visits with international organisations and academic institutions in Singapore.
The International Management Tour will highlight different management styles and operations from some of the most successful and innovative organisations in Singapore.
As the largest centre for CMI qualifications in the region, IED has experienced CMI approved faculty members and assessors. IED supports managers with a range of professional services and qualifications, right up to Chartered Manager status with the programmes available on site or at Abu Dhabi University.-TradeArabia News Service
