Epson to unveil key solutions at Saudi education expo

Epson is set to showcase its latest range of projectors, printers and scanners at the 4th International Exhibition and Forum for Education (IEFE) 2014 which opens tomorrow (February 3).  

An official annual event of the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Education, IEFE, will run till February 7 at the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center.

During the show, the spotlight will be on Epson’s exclusive range of education projectors, including the ultra-short throw EB-485Wi, the multimedia portable EB-955W, the installation projector EB-G6900WU, the auto-correcting EB-1945W, and the home theater EH-TW5200.

The company will also demonstrate a complete range of its new Ink Tank Solution (ITS) printers, including the L355, the L550, the M105, the L800 and the M200. Also lined up for the exhibition are Epson’s DS-510, DS-6500 and DS-30 range of Workforce scanners.

Epson will introduce its education-related technology solutions at the 5-day event targeting the education sector of the Kingdom and the region, said a top official.

The EB-485Wi is an interactive projector with new shorter throw distance, higher brightness and more flexibility. It features a lightweight, interactive pen, allowing teachers and students to write on screen simultaneously, explained Khalil El-Dalu, the general manager, Epson Middle East.

On the other hand, EB-955W comes with flexible installation features and advanced network connectivity. Offering three times brighter colours, WXGA resolutions, and 3,000 lumens of white and colour light output, it ensures engaging classroom sessions.

Lastly, the EB-G6900WU features 6,000 lumens, WUXGA screen resolution, 3LCD technology, 3600 vertical rotation, and a curved surface and corner walls for sharper, clearer classroom presentations.

“There is no denying that the Middle Eastern governments are proactively upgrading their educational infrastructure at par with international standards. The Saudi government has raised its budget for education in 2014 by three per cent to reach SR210 billion. This is a clear indication that the government has long-term development plans for the sector,” remarked El-Dalu.

According to him, Epson has developed several cutting-edge and cost-effective technology solutions pertaining to the growing demand in the education sector of the region.
