HEC Paris appoints new dean and CEO in Qatar

HEC Paris in Qatar, one of the world’s top three providers of executive education programs, has appointed Dr Nils Plambeck as the new dean and chief executive officer.

Dr Plambeck begins his duties with immediate effect.

Working with HEC Paris since 2004, Dr Plambeck holds a Doctorate in Economic and Social Sciences from the University of Hamburg and a Diploma in Business Administration (Diplom Kaufmann) with a focus on Strategy and Sociology.

As an Associate Professor in the Strategy and Business Policy department of HEC Paris, Dr Plambeck was the Academic Director for the MSc in Strategic Management in the last year. Prior to this, he was responsible for the core strategy course at the HEC Grande Ecole, and shared responsibility for the strategic implementation courses of the Executive MBA. In addition, he is frequently involved in the development and design of  custom leadership and executive development programs in different industries such agriculture, banking, consumer goods, energy, healthcare, pulp & paper production in countries such as France, Italy, Qatar, Oman and Russia.

Dr Plambeck has taught in a variety of programs (e.g., Masters, MBA, Executive MBA, TRIUM Global MBA, and custom programs). In recent years, his teaching activity was centered around business strategy and strategy implementation in executive programs.  – TradeArabia News Service
