SIP seeks to enrich various academic programmes at UAEU

UAE launches new science and innovation park

ABU DHABI, November 23, 2016

The UAE has launched a research hub and student innovation incubator, a first-of-its-kind in the region, at the UAE University in Al Ain region of Abu Dhabi.

HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, The Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai unveiled the plaque of The UAE University Science and Innovation Park (SIP) yesterday (November 22) in the college campus, reported state news agency Wam.

The SIP aims to become globally recognised for its innovative environment and for helping to enhance the diversification of the UAE economy besides supporting a knowledge economy through scientific research and the commercialisation of innovative new products.

Additionally, SIP seeks to enrich various academic programmes at UAEU through graduate internships that allow students the opportunity to gain real life, hands-on experience in practical business skills.

The SIP also plans to expand its existing research collaboration with government, corporate and academic institutions, both national and internationally.
