Four schools
Sherborne Qatar was founded in 2009 and has now grown into a family of four schools in Qatar.  The strong foundation, brand awareness and success of Sherborne Qatar led to the formation of Sharaka Education in 2017.

The company now aims to develop Sherborne schools across the Mena region over the next decade and the founding Headmaster of Sherborne Qatar, Mr Nick Prowse, will lead the expansion of Sherborne into the Mena region.

Sheikh Abdullah said: “We strongly believe holistic, high-quality education is integral to empowering a sustainable nation – a nation that offers limitless opportunities to each citizen. For more than a decade, Sherborne Qatar has successfully educated pupils in our country, leading them into some of the best universities and global brands across the world. We now envisage extending our contribution into the Mena region, leading us to create Sharaka Education which is committed to growing and developing a diversified knowledge-based economy that empowers young minds. We believe our partnership with Sherborne Schools Worldwide is key to realising this vision.”

Dr Sullivan said: “This agreement creates new and inspiring educational opportunities for young people throughout the Middle East and North Africa. Having seen first-hand the positive impact that the Sherborne Qatar schools have had in Doha, our partnership with Sharaka Education promises an inspiring educational experience for many young people in the years ahead.”

Dr Luckett said: “Signing the Mena agreement with Sharaka Education was a moment of great significance for Sherborne School.  We very much value the close educational partnership that we have established over recent years and I am extremely excited about the fresh opportunities that the Mena agreement will open up for us. During the past decade, Sherborne Qatar has developed into a flourishing, successful and world-class family of schools.  We are now looking forward to extending the scope of our collaboration with Sharaka Education through the establishment of schools across the Mena region, bringing Sherborne’s educational values and ethos to thousands more children and young people.”-- TradeArabia News Service
