Nestle launches biggest nutrition campaign

Nestle Middle East has launched the “Eat Right Live Well” campaign aimed at empowering families to make healthier food choices through increased awareness of good nutritional habits and practices.

"The regionwide initiative seeks to spread the principles of Nutrition, Health and Wellness – the cornerstones of Nestle’s strategic direction - by channeling our worldwide expertise in nutrition research into a focused initiative that contributes to general public health," said Raef Labaky, communication director of Nestle Middle East.

“The campaign draws on Nestlé’s world-leading expertise in nutrition research and product development and brings together several of the company’s nutrition-focused programs under a single umbrella to benefit consumers around the region,” he noted.

The largest initiative of its kind launched by Nestle in the Middle East yet, “Eat Right Live Well” kicked off with a major promotional campaign by Nestle at leading stores and outlets throughout the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon.

The promotion, under the main theme, “Win Your Way to Healthy Living”, provides shoppers an opportunity to win valuable prizes designed to encourage them to embark on a healthy lifestyle - such as diet packages, gym membership, Nintendo Wii Sports, Polar watches, pedometers, and BMI calculator, among other items.

The campaign seeks to provide consumers practical guidelines for everyday nutrition and lifestyle, communicated in a simple and attractive way - “5 Great Steps: Your way to healthy living”.

"The five steps or advices for a healthy living include: Eat a variety of foods; Be active at least 30 minutes a day; Drink 8 glasses of water every day; Have breakfast every day, and; Maintain a healthy weight."

Karine Antoniades Turk, Nutrition, Health & Wellness Manager at Nestle ME, said Nestle offers a range of high-quality pleasurable foods that help meet the nutritional needs of consumers at different stages of their life.
