Royal Med expands aeromedical fleet
Abu Dhabi

Royal Med, the Middle East’s leading aeromedical evacuation services provider, has introduced a Learjet 60 to its fleet.

The move will enhance its medevac service capability, according to a statement.

Royal Med is a division of Royal Jet, the award-winning international luxury flight services provider headquartered in Abu Dhabi and chaired by Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan.

“We have made significant investments in Royal Med’s infrastructure, personnel and aircraft in order to provide the highest quality of aero-medical transport. Now with the addition of the Learjet 60 this will add more flexibility to our medevac services and offers a greater flying range than the Learjet 35’s,” said Royal Jet’s President and CEO Shane O’Hare.

The Learjet 60 brings the number of aircraft used for patient transfer to nine, in four different aircraft types. Each aircraft is fitted out with state-of-the-art equipment and intensive care facilities, enabling critical care patient transfer and medical evacuations.

Last year, Royal Med flew patients on a record number of missions to several destinations throughout Europe, the Far East, the Middle East, the Indian sub-continent and the USA – an increase of 35 per cent on the previous year. – TradeArabia News Service
