Manama

Bahrain Mum-talakat Holding Company has appointed Yousif Taqi, the chief executive officer of Al Salam Bank Bahrain, as a new member of Alba board.

A certified public accountant, Taqi has more than 24 years of experience in the banking and financial services industry.

Prior to joining Al Salam Bank, he was deputy general manager of Kuwait Finance House (KFH) Bahrain, and was responsible for establishing Kuwait Finance House Malaysia.

During his tenure with KFH, he was chairman of the Durrat Al Bahrain development project, a board member of KFH Malaysia and a member of the risk committee of the Islamic Financial Services Board in Malaysia.

Prior to that, Taqi spent 20 years with Ernst & Young, during which time he provided professional services for many regional and international financial institutions.

He is currently chairman of Al Salam Bank's recently-established real estate development subsidiary.

In addition to his CPA qualification, Taqi holds a BSc degree in accounting.-TradeArabia News Service
