Royal Group appoints REA chief
Abu Dhabi

The Royal Group has promoted Derek Bruce to the position of chief executive officer of Reem Emirates Aluminum (REA), the UAE-based manufacturer of custom-designed aluminium wall panels.

REA is poised to enter the sustainable building technology market and Bruce will spearhead the initiative. He will ensure that REA is well positioned to meet the demand for energy-saving building technologies created by initiatives such as Estidama and Masdar.

Australian-born Bruce was promoted from the position of REA general manager and brings more than 25 years experience in the engineering, design and manufacturing of unitised curtain wall construction to the role.

“We have developed proven, cost-effective, energy saving technologies that will become the norm across forward-thinking places like Abu Dhabi which are already implementing sustainability guidelines,' stated Bruce.

“We have patented technologies which have been validated internationally and are ready to take to the market in the Middle East,” he added.-TradeArabia News Service
