Alba achieves safety milestone
Manama

Reduction services employees at Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) have achieved four million working hours without a single lost time injury, which is a new world safety record according to Alba Metal Production Group (MPG) general manager Mohammed Mahmood.

He said that reduction line employees on lines one to three had achieved outstanding levels of efficiency while those on lines four and five demonstrated remarkable performance.

'These remarkable achievements over the past few months make us all proud to be part of Alba,' Mahmood told our sister publication, the Gulf Daily News.

'We are ready to continue our achievements and maintain our reputation as one of the best in the world, with the support and commitment of our executive management towards our employees.'

Mahmood was speaking at a luncheon that was hosted at the Alba Club for MPG current and retired employees on the occasion of Eid Al Fitr, which included honouring the retired employees.

'Alba considers the employees as its greatest asset, including its retired employees, who contributed to making Alba one of the most successful companies in the world,' he added.

'This event encourages the communication between old and new generations in the company, and shows Alba's appreciation to its former employees for what they provided over the past years.' - TradeArabia News Service
