3M Telecommunication has launched a new range of heavy duty connectors in the Middle East, specifically for facilitating operations within the region’s telecommunications industry.
The cornerstone of the heavy duty connectors is the Volition IP67 range. The 3M IP67 solution is for use in all RJ45 connections and thanks to its easy to use properties, it allows for complete IP67 protection, said a company official.
The Category 5e receptacle and cap and the Category 6 receptacle and cap are composed of a Keystone connector, the IP67 receptacle, the sealing and the fixing nut and are available in three different versions – the UTP, the FTP and shielded with 360°braid or foil connection.
The two receptacles are shock, vibration and traction resistant with an integrated protection latch, and allow for cable entry from the top or bottom. Among the variety of benefits that the Keystone products offer is that they can be completely sealed against fluids and dust, they are designed for use in harsh environments, offer reliable connections and only one process to connect eight conductors – making them the ideal companion for all telecommunications applications.
Inline with the requirements for RJ45 connections, 3M has developed the Volition IP67 Shell for RJ45 cords. The shell can fit any cord whether watertight or standard and like the receptacles and caps; is shock, vibration and traction resistant and requires no tool for the assembly of the shell. Furthermore, it can be sealed against fluid and dusts and is ideal for use in harsh environments.
The final addition to the range is the I67FP1S Stainless steel faceplate, which comes equipped with all accessories for proper installation, with resistance to water and dust due to its unique design composing a silicon gasket and O-rings on M4 screws.
The 3M range of industrial heavy duty connectors forms part of 3M’s telecommunication services and products, which aim to provide copper and fiber optic connectivity, management and diagnostic solutions to communication services suppliers around the Middle East. – TradeArabia News Service
