Saudi denies steel import duty cancellations

Saudi Arabia has not cancelled the import duty on steel, the Ministry of Trade and Industry told Al Arabiya television on Tuesday.
A ministry spokesman told Reuters on Monday that the five percent import duty placed on steel rebar had been lifted as the government aims to ease a shortage of the building material in the Kingdom. No further details were given in the Arabiya report.-Reuters
