Nuberg bags $15m chlor alkali contract in Abu Dhabi

NOIDA, October 9, 2014

Nuberg Engineering, a leading Indian project engineering and turnkey contracting organisation, has been awarded a $15 million chlor alkali engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) project by Al Ghaith Industries in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The project is for doubling Al Ghaith's caustic soda production capacity from 140 metric tons per day (MTPD) to 280 MTPD.

Nuberg is already in the process of commissioning the first phase of the EPC project for 140 MTPD capacity, worth $19 million.

The new project will commence production in the first quarter of 2015. The plant will also produce co-products like hydrochloric acid, sodium hypochlorite and calcium chloride to cater to the local and regional oil and gas industry.
