Tetra Pak holds 'Knowledge Series' seminars at Gulfood

DUBAI, February 22, 2016

Tetra Pak, a leader in food processing and packaging solutions, has organised seminars titled ‘Tetra Pak Knowledge Series’ for customers attending the ongoing Gulfood 2016, in Dubai, UAE.  

Gulfood 2016, the latest edition of the world’s largest annual food and hospitality show, is taking place at the Dubai World Trade Centre and will run till February 25.

The seminars, being held at the Tetra Pak Connect Lounge and open exclusively to its customers, will include presentations from independent global experts as well as Tetra Pak leaders on pertinent topics particularly relevant for the regional food and beverage industry, said a statement from the company.

The seminar topics will include:  

•Innovations in combating obesity: With many countries in the Greater Middle East & Africa (GMEA) region ranking among the highest in the world on risk factors related to chronic lifestyle ailments such as obesity and diabetes, health and wellness is emerging as a strong driver in the consumption of milk and juice products. The seminar highlights innovative opportunities to help businesses develop healthier products that still taste great.

•Insights into food protection: The right policies, priorities and investments rapidly advance food security. With countries aiming to achieve steady, incremental improvement across the three internationally established dimensions – affordability, availability, quality and safety – this seminar increases awareness around the issue of food safety.
 
•Package design and marketing best practices: An estimated 60 to 70 per cent of buying decisions are made in the store and a typical 30 minute shopping session is all that marketers have to differentiate their product. With socio-cultural trends influencing consumer behaviour, this seminar offers inspiration and direction on packaging innovations that deliver.

•Use of social media to drive business: With over two billion social network users around the globe, social media has emerged as an essential tool for brands and products to engage with consumers. This seminar brings essential expertise and insights to the region.

•Operational cost reduction: Reducing costs and increasing operational efficiency means measuring key performance indicators on both input and output sides of the business.
