Saudi downstream firms set for debut Bahrain event

MANAMA, April 20, 2019

The inaugural Business Development Forum and Expo (BDFEX) for the Downstream Oil & Gas and Petrochemicals industry being held in Manama will attract successful business development and investment hub in the downstream hydrocarbon industry from Saudi Arabia.
 
The two-day expo will see these firms unveil their best products and services on April 24 and 25 at The Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel Manama, kingdom of Bahrain.
 
International and regional corporations, SMEs, investors and entrepreneurs are expected to take part in the expo in order to explore new business opportunities, according to the event organisers. 
 
It would result in increasing local content of manufacturing and services in the hydrocarbon downstream industry, creating new sustainable jobs, and attracting investments, it added.
 
Furthermore, corporations participating in the Expo will offer the latest solutions and services in the hydrocarbon industry, highlighting opportunities to explore in the region and raise the use of modern technologies in the oil & gas and petrochemical industry.
 
The two-day event is being jointly organised by PROACT International Consultancy, Kingdom of Bahrain and United Gulf Industrial Consortia for Investment Management and Consultation, Jubail, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
 
Member of the Organizing Committee Musaed Al Qarni, explained that corporations participating in BDFEX Forum and Expo will get the opportunity to find new partners, find new technologies, expand their network of suppliers and buyers, and promote their local programmes. 
 
At the same time, investors will be understanding investment outlook in the region and meeting industrial entrepreneurs and growth SMEs, said the organisers. 
 
However, industrial entrepreneurs will get the opportunity to direct meeting with investors and gauging business interest in their ventures by corporations, they stated.
 
Al Qarni has invited all industrial groups in the oil and gas and petrochemical sector to take part in the BDFEX forum and Expo to get closer towards finding new business partners, investors, technology providers, new suppliers and new market access. 
 
At the same time, they will be able to create a network that would help them build their own business in the future and share their best practices and success in the business, he stated.
 
The forum aims to attract international and regional corporations, SMEs, investors and entrepreneurs to explore new business opportunities.
