AJMAN, May 23, 2022

Ajman Free Zone (AFZ) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Zajel, a specialised company in the field of logistics and transport, to provide smart and efficient delivery services to free zone business partners.

The agreement was signed by Eng Ali AlSuwaidi, Director General of AFZ and Yousuf Alkhaja, CEO of Zajel.

Under the agreement, Zajel will provide free zone business partners shipping and delivery of packages around the world. This collaboration will allow AFZ’s business partners and customers to benefit from the wide range of services provided by Zajel locally and internationally, including delivery and eCommerce services and solutions; international import and export services; and land, sea, and air freight services.

Improving efficiency
Eng AlSuwaidi, Director General of AFZ, stated that the MoU will improve the efficiency of AFZ’s value-added services and expand the range of facilities it provides to its business partners.

AlSuwaidi added: “Through this MoU, we will facilitate investors and members of the local business community with access to a wide variety of delivery and shipment services. These services will be available locally and internationally, with competitive rates and highest levels of efficiency.

“AFZ will continue to expand its cooperation with its partners in the government and private sectors to establish a comprehensive system that supports investment through services and facilities, enhances the competitiveness of the local business environment and its ability to attract foreign investments, and increases the momentum of commercial and investment activities as essential pillars for a more diverse and sustainable economy.”

Value-added services
Alkhaja said: “Under the agreement, a platform for logistics and delivery services is provided as part of the series of value-added services that AFZ offers to its business partners and customers. This platform will meet the increasing needs for last mile delivery services. The established partnership will help realise the strategic goals of both parties to provide diverse services that meet the international standards and enhance customer experience.”

This move comes in line with the AFZ’s vision to expand its cooperation with partners, including service providers, government, and private institutions and companies; and to improve the quality of its value-added services and solutions. The agreement also reflects AFZ’s dedication to facilitating investor journey and encouraging the growth of business projects.-- TradeArabia News Service
