Jotun Paints eyes 15 pc growth in Bahrain
Manama

Jotun Paints, one of the leading producers and suppliers of paints and coatings, said that it was aiming to achieve a 15 per cent growth in Bahrain this year amid growing demand for eco-friendly paints in the Kingdom.

This is in line with the leading manufacturer’s aims to address the rising demand for eco-friendly paint products within the $25 million Bahrain paint market.

Jotun Paints also recently launched its regional campaign and hosted an in-depth seminar in Bahrain attended by representatives from various architectural and consulting firms, where it highlighted its unique ‘Single Source Solution’ concept and two new products - ‘Jotashield SuperDurable’ and ‘Jotashield Heritage High Build’.

The ‘Single Source Solution’ concept involves Jotun’s holistic approach to providing consultants and engineers with high quality and cost-effective paints and coatings solutions for all substrates, which includes decorative and protective coatings that can withstand extreme levels of UV light, various levels of humidity and corrosion, high and low ambient temperatures and other environmental pollutants.

Under this concept, the company launched ‘Jotashield SuperDurable’ and ‘Jotashield Heritage High Build’, which have been formulated to provide superior durability and low chemical reactivity, and to help maintain the structural integrity and lengthen the life cycle of buildings, thus offering superior protection and help reduce maintenance costs.

“Our industry experience that spans over 30 years has given us the ability to meet the regional and global requirements of the construction industry by developing and providing new production technologies, extensive support and highly specialised solutions,” said Biren Arora, country manager, Jotun Paints Bahrain.

“Our growth prospects in the Bahrain paint market prove to be promising, and our strategy is to capitalise on our new range of environmentally-safe products and tap into the growing demand for high quality paint products among construction professionals as well as homeowners in the country,” he stated.

With a prominent presence in all segments and a leading position in distribution and innovation, Jotun Paints points to its quality policy of Profitability, Position, People and Innovation (PPPI) as the driver of its success in advancing new concepts in product and marketing.

The company also takes pride in its strong connection with its customers, which it leverages to extract valuable feedback to help formulate products that directly address their unique needs.

As a result, the company’s range of high-quality paints and coatings have been selected by leading developers for Bahrain’s most prestigious development projects including, Bahrain Financial Harbour, Banyan Tree Resort and Spa, Movenpick Hotel and Mercure Grand Hotel Seef.

"We have launched a range of products that address the unique requirements of the Middle East paint market."

"Our decorative, protective, marine, floor/concrete protection and intumescent coatings have been the choice for some of the most prestigious projects across the region, and our investments into research and development continue to secure us a top position in the regional market," Arora added.

Jotun Paints’ decorative paint products have been used in high profile projects in Bahrain such as Abraj Al Lulu, Durrat Al Bahrain, Riffa Views International School, Riffa Views Villa’s and several projects by the Ministry of Works & Housing.

In addition, Jotun protective coatings have recently been a part of the construction of GPIC Urea and Ammonia Plant, Marafiq IWPP Structural Steel, PDO Oman Pressure Vessels, JGC Pressure Vessels and support structure.

Some projects that have adopted the ‘Single Source Solution’ concept in Bahrain are Investcorp Bank, Bahrain Financial Harbour and Ahli United Bank among several others.-TradeArabia<
