Du launches music remix road show

Du, the UAE’s integrated telecom operator, has launched, a unique and innovative road show offering music lovers the opportunity to explore their DJ talent.
Called the Music Challenge, the road show will take place next to the Grand Cinestar at Mall of the Emirates, Dubai, between June 15 and July 14, and at the Abu Dhabi Marina Mall between June 18 and August 13.
Music Challenge offers everyone a chance to try their hand at remixing music using real DJ equipment. Remixes can then be uploaded to moretalkmoremusic.ae or du.ae/moretalkmoremusic where users can not only share their remixes with friends through Facebook or email, but also get them to comment and vote on them.
Participants have a chance to win attractive weekly and grand prizes when their remixes top the voting poll.
“Music is the pulse of many young people, and the du Music Challenge will allow music lovers in the UAE to express themselves musically,” said Farid Faraidooni, executive vice president commercial, du.
“This platform offers participants a chance to perform with Celebrity DJs as well as win attractive prizes like BlackBerry handsets and More Talk More Music packs - preloaded with Dh250 ($68) worth of credit. What’s more, the winners may even have their remixes aired on the local radio.”
Celebrity DJs FlashB and Shero will mix their beats every weekend on Fridays and Saturdays during the road show to guide participants and entertain mall visitors.
The du music challenge ties-in with du’s exciting SIM pack offering: when customers buy a ‘Pay as you Go’ SIM card for Dh55 ($15), they will receive Dh54 in free air time and Dh56 worth of free music content - offering customers more talk and more music.
This offer is also available to Elite Plan (Monthly Plan) customers; offering Dh124 free airtime plus Dh126 free music for only Dh125.
New visitor mobile line customers can also enjoy Dh48 free airtime plus Dh56 free music for only Dh49. Existing du customers can also enjoy the offer for just Dh6; by texting ‘1’ for Arabic or ‘2’ for English to 1234. –TradeArabia News Service
