Batelco portal wins ISO certification

Batelco’s e-Services, the company’s online customer services portal, has secured ISO 27001 certification - the International Standard for Information Security Management.

Batelco is the first telecommunications company in the kingdom to have its e-Services portal certified with ISO 27001.

Batelco has an Information Security Management System (ISMS) in place, which complies with best practices for information security management as per ISO 27001 standards. Batelco customers’ data is protected in accordance with these international standards.

“Batelco has a distinct differentiation in the marketplace when it comes to providing online services, such as e-billing and online bill payment for individuals as well as business customers. This certification now confirms that we have best practices in place when it comes to protecting our customers’ data while providing e-Services,” said Batelco chief executive Peter Kaliaropoulos.-TradeArabia News Service
